United reportedly discuss Fernandes with West Ham

Manchester United have reportedly discussed Mateus Fernandes's availability with West Ham. Useful, but still a long way from a deal.

Football365 relays MailOnline's account of recent talks between the clubs. It also repeats TEAMtalk's claim that United contacted the midfielder's representatives, with Fernandes said to be keen on Old Trafford. Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are also linked.

No bid or agreement is reported. The account goes no further than discussions.
