Real Madrid reportedly contact West Ham over Fernandes

Real Madrid have reportedly contacted West Ham about Mateus Fernandes. Ben Jacobs' account goes further than the earlier conditional links, while El Debate says Madrid retain their interest at José Mourinho's request.

El Debate, relayed by TEAMtalk and Claret & Hugh, reports that Madrid will not meet West Ham's €93m or £80m valuation. The72 puts the demand at up to £84m, while A Bola says West Ham could accept less from a club outside England. Those are competing price claims, not offers.

The contact picture has also been disputed by an earlier denial attributed to West Ham sources. No bid or agreement with Real Madrid has been reported.
