Arsenal reportedly step back from Fernandes

Arsenal have reportedly stepped back from Mateus Fernandes and prioritised another midfield target. The Hard Tackle, citing The Times, says the Gunners have shifted their focus to Ayyoub Bouaddi.

Real Madrid were already reported to have ended their pursuit. That removes two clubs previously named among Fernandes' suitors, but it does not turn Manchester United's interest into an agreement.

Sky Sports says United are preparing an opening bid. No offer has been reported as submitted and no agreement with West Ham has been reached.
