Your choices

Guffwatch uses browser storage to remember your preferences and help you return to stories. Google Analytics is optional: its tag loads only after you choose Accept Analytics. You can reject analytics and still use the site.

Use Cookie Preferences in the footer to change your choice at any time. Withdrawing analytics consent stops further analytics collection and removes the Google Analytics cookies that this site can access. It does not automatically delete information already collected lawfully.

We remember your choice for up to six months. We ask again when it expires or when the purposes change. If your browser blocks storage, your choice applies to the current page session and may be requested again on a later visit.

Google Analytics

When you accept analytics, Google receives information such as the pages visited, referring page, device and browser details, approximate location and interactions such as scrolling or following an external link. Analytics cookies are separate from Google Analytics data-retention settings.

Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google’s cookie documentation.

Future advertising and remarketing

Your analytics choice does not authorise advertising or remarketing. If we introduce those uses, we will update the notices and consent choices to explain the providers, information and purposes involved, and obtain any additional consent required before those features operate.
