Real Madrid interest in Fernandes remains conditional

Mateus Fernandes remains conditionally linked with Real Madrid. Madrid Universal, citing AS, reports that José Mourinho has identified the West Ham midfielder as a player he would want if Florentino Pérez wins the club’s presidential election.

An earlier Madrid account said interest would depend on Aurélien Tchouaméni leaving. The latest report adds a different condition to the same club link rather than describing a new transfer step. It also says Liverpool and Arsenal are monitoring Fernandes and suggests discussions could begin around £80m.

No approach to West Ham, bid, talks or agreement involving Real Madrid are reported.
