Roma make reported £34m Summerville offer

Roma have reportedly made a €40 million (£34 million) offer for Crysencio Summerville. Claret&Hugh says West Ham view it as a non-starter and want £50 million, while West Ham Zone later relayed the same bid figure from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The detail around the supposed release clause does not line up. Gazzetta says a €45 million (£38.2 million) clause expires on 27 July. Earlier reporting put it at £40 million. Both remain source claims, not settled contract terms.

The wage figures conflict too. Gazzetta says Summerville wants €6 million (£5.1 million) a year and Roma will not exceed €4.5 million (£3.8 million) plus bonuses. Other accounts put the positions at £100,000 and £65,000 a week, or set Roma's ceiling at €4 million. A bid is reported. A fee or personal-terms agreement is not.
