Romano disputes reported United approach for Summerville

Manchester United’s reported move for Crysencio Summerville has run into a fairly blunt contradiction. Earlier accounts described an approach to West Ham or exploratory contact between the clubs.

Fabrizio Romano, quoted by Read West Ham, says United spoke with Summerville’s agents in June but have made no official approach to West Ham, submitted no bid and entered no negotiations.

Romano says Summerville is an option only if Marcus Rashford leaves, with nothing concrete or advanced at present. United remain a conditional possibility, not an active negotiation.
