West Ham deny Castellanos spitting allegation

MailOnline reports that West Ham have denied Taty Castellanos spat at Millwall goalkeeper Filip Marschall during the 2-2 draw at The Den. Marschall appeared to tell referee Paul Tierney that the West Ham forward had spat at him, but the allegation remains unproven.

No sanction was issued during the match. Millwall manager Alex Neil said he believed Marschall had made the allegation but acknowledged he was too far away to see what happened.

Nuno Espírito Santo also said he did not see the incident and would not comment on the allegation. West Ham's denial makes the dispute clear. It does not establish what happened.
