Monterrey reported to open Álvarez loan talks

Monterrey are reportedly in talks with West Ham over a loan for Edson Álvarez. El Universal made that claim, cited by Sport Witness, while The West Ham Way has now repeated the Monterrey link. No agreement or further step is reported.

The West Ham Way also says Álvarez wants to remain in Europe. It questions whether Monterrey could afford West Ham's fee, but presents that as speculation rather than a reported demand or rejected offer. Álvarez remains due back when his Fenerbahçe loan ends on 30 June.
