Nuno demands defensive improvement before Wrexham

Three straight league wins have lifted West Ham, but Nuno Espírito Santo is not mistaking momentum for a finished job.

After Tuesday’s 3–2 victory at Bolton, Nuno said West Ham must tighten up defensively and work towards more clean sheets. He believes the players are linking better as they get to know each other, with organisation, attacking combinations and finishing all still open to improvement.

Wrexham visit London Stadium on Friday as West Ham chase a fourth consecutive Championship win. Nuno described the visitors as physical, aggressive and talented.

He also called the division more demanding and higher in quality than during his previous spell in the Championship. A run of three wins is welcome. The rough edges have not disappeared with it.
