Souček says referee admitted QPR penalty error after draw

Tomáš Souček says the referee told him after West Ham's 1–1 draw with QPR that awarding the visitors' first-half penalty was a mistake. That is Souček's account of their conversation, not an independent confirmation from referee Ruebyn Ricardo.

Souček told Sky Sports he thought he had won the ball in his challenge on Paul Smyth. Nicolas Madsen scored from the resulting penalty. Souček said Ricardo would not explain the decision to him during the match and that it had a big impact on him and the team. West Ham recovered to take a point, but his frustration with the decision plainly had not gone away.
