Mavropanos credits calmer second half for Bolton comeback

Dinos Mavropanos credited West Ham’s calmer second half for turning a chaotic night at Bolton into a 3–2 win.

The defender told West Ham TV that the side stayed positive after conceding twice and settled the game after the break, before Jarrod Bowen supplied the winner. Mavropanos had headed the equaliser from Arne Engels’s free-kick and then struck the crossbar before half-time.

He said the reshaped squad was gradually building an understanding, while acknowledging there was still plenty to improve. With matches every three days, he highlighted the importance of rotation and learning how to respond when West Ham fall behind.

The win was a third in succession. Mavropanos said maintaining that momentum and togetherness mattered as much as the satisfaction of scoring himself.
