Parker says West Ham must stop giving away goals

Scott Parker says West Ham cannot keep conceding and expect to rescue matches. After the 2–1 defeat at Blackburn, the head coach said his side had controlled stretches of play but failed to take its chances before being caught on the break.

Parker told West Ham's official site that he had first met the players on Wednesday morning and had since taken charge of two matches. He said there was plenty to work on and that the international break would give him time with the squad before the home game against Preston North End. His commitment is clear. The defensive work still has to show up on the pitch.
