Mavropanos and Magassa start at Cardiff

West Ham's team sheet settles the biggest selection call before Cardiff: Dinos Mavropanos starts, Soungoutou Magassa comes into the side and Kyle Walker-Peters is absent from the matchday squad. Cardiff have made one change, with Rubin Colwill replacing his brother Joel in the starting XI. Joel is on the bench.

West Ham start Mads Hermansen; Joël Veltman, Mavropanos, Max Kilman, Morato; Magassa, Arne Engels; Jarrod Bowen, Divine Mukasa; Manor Solomon; and Taty Castellanos. The West Ham Way counts four changes from the side beaten by West Brom, with Veltman, Mavropanos, Magassa and Castellanos coming in.

Cardiff also start Will Fish, Alex Robertson and Perry Ng after earlier fitness doubts. Ollie Tanner and Rubin Colwill are among their attacking options. West Ham's substitutes are Alphonse Areola, Airidas Golambeckis, Ollie Scarles, Ezra Mayers, Lewis Orford, Tomáš Souček, Mohamadou Kanté, Joël Piroe and Edvin Austbø. Pablo and Edson Álvarez are absent from the squad. The team sheet gives no reason for those omissions.
