Keeble's Ewood goal and Britt's Blackburn move
Vic Keeble scored early in West Ham's 2-1 win at Blackburn in 1959. Martin Britt's later move between the clubs had a much harsher ending.
Dan Coker's West Ham Till I Die preview recalls Keeble giving West Ham a sixth-minute lead at Ewood Park before Malcolm Musgrove added a second. Ally MacLeod replied for Blackburn.
Coker also traces Britt's move to Blackburn for £25,000 after 26 West Ham appearances and seven goals. A knee injury limited him to eight Blackburn appearances and ended his playing career at 21. Coker says Blackburn recovered part of the transfer fee after a dispute over what West Ham had disclosed about that injury.
