West Ham confirm Křetínský agreement
West Ham have confirmed that Daniel Křetínský, through 1890s Holdings, has reached an agreement to acquire enough shares to become the club’s single largest shareholder.
The club says it will make no further comment until all transactions are complete. ESPN reports that the intended split would give Křetínský 46%, David Sullivan 40% and Tripp Smith 11%, so this is confirmation of an agreement, not confirmation that the share transfers have completed.
Křetínský said he was honoured by the opportunity, recognised the responsibility involved and would speak further to supporters after completion. Vanessa Gold said the agreement should provide stability, that Křetínský intended to take a more active role and that she would remain a shareholder with a small stake.
