West Ham complete Morato loan
Morato is a West Ham player for the season. The loan from Nottingham Forest is complete, and Nuno Espírito Santo gets a defender he has already managed in England.
The 25-year-old Brazilian helped Forest finish seventh in the Premier League in his first season and was part of the side that reached last season’s Europa League semi-finals. His earlier spell at Benfica included appearances in the Champions League and Europa League.
Morato said he wants to help West Ham return to the Premier League as quickly as possible. Nils Koppen described him as a powerful, reliable defender with big-club experience and familiarity with English football.
