Reports conflict over Solomon fee as medical nears
West Ham's move for Manor Solomon was heading towards a medical, but the reported price did not add up cleanly.
VAVEL said the Tottenham winger was expected to complete a medical and sign a three-year contract with an option for a further year after a hold-up over performance-related add-ons. It also reported a 10 per cent sell-on clause.
MailOnline reported an agreement in principle worth £5m up front and £2m in add-ons, with the same sell-on clause. It said earlier talks had stalled over bonuses linked to promotion. Yet a later section of the same article said the clubs were working towards a £10m agreement.
That leaves the fee unresolved. At this point the move was still expected, not complete, and a medical would not make it so.
