Nuno says Lincoln win can build West Ham's confidence
Nuno Espírito Santo said West Ham's 6–0 win at Lincoln City was a confidence boost, but the goals did not come as easily as the score suggests. Lincoln were down to nine men inside 23 minutes, yet West Ham had to wait until just before half-time for Dinos Mavropanos to break through.
Speaking to West Ham TV, Nuno said his side had become anxious and rushed before the opener. He praised their patience, combinations and focus on keeping a clean sheet, and said the returning players and individual contributions gave the squad plenty to build on. He wants that momentum to continue after the draw with QPR, while recognising that the next match at Swansea will pose a different test.
