SPORTbible links Pablo and Cornet omissions to home-grown rule
Pablo and Maxwel Cornet were both left out of Scott Parker's squad for the 3-3 draw at Cardiff. SPORTbible says EFL home-grown-player requirements explain the omissions. It reports that matchday squads need at least seven home-grown players and that West Ham named four of them on the bench.
Pablo's absence was already known, but the reason had not been confirmed. SPORTbible's account gives a specific selection explanation; the supplied reporting does not independently confirm that it was Parker's reason for leaving either player out.
